Queen on the day of the marathon take an immodium. I battled exactly the same all through my training and toilet breaks and immodium worked sooo well for me on marathon day! Just do a practice run with it xx

Hi Conagh, forgot to ask earlier: Do the ultrahuman rings track distances too? I’ve always hated wearing smartwatches (they make my eczema flare up all the time) but I kinda need to wear them to track the distances I’ve ran or biked :/ hoping these smart rings will be better for my sensitive skin!

Wash the heart rate monitor!! I do mine with soap and water, then just rinse thoroughly. I bought that model because you can wear it swimming. The picture instructions on the strap literally tell you to handwash it after every 7runs

Carb load the night before your big run. Like try eat as much as possible for your last meal of the day. This is really important it will give you the fuel you need.

I’m training for a marathon and I have a bad habit of doing my long runs on a Saturday cause I’m a full time nursing student and then I work as a server/bartender on weekends and I always regret it by 8pm cause my legs are in painnnn

You can even connect the Runna app to some treadmills (Bluetooth) so the speed is changed automatically which is very convenient especially for tempo runs with a lot of tempo changes 😃

Where’s your dressing gown from!

You just need to calibrate your garmin at the end of the run! You don't need to keep pausing it. So if you've loaded up to do a treadmill run when you finish the run and stop it instead of pressing save you just scroll down and it says calibrate, you enter the same distance as the treadmill says and then it's all done :)

Depends on which HR band you have, but the more expensive Garmin one is also made for swimming, so it can be washed ☺️

I honestly LOVE running my intervals on the treadmill! I watch youtube videos and the time flies!

Sometimes for double sessions I’ll drive to the gym, park and then go for a run in that neighbourhood and then back into the gym for my workout or the other way around. If the neighbourhood around your gym accommodates for that maybe that’s something you could try!
